I started my studio career at Jacob's Studios in Surrey, before moving on to The Strongroom in London, where I stayed for 18 years as a freelance engineer with Strongroom Producer Management, working from their studios in London. In this time, I also worked in various studios, right across the world, gaining me lots of experience.

I worked with some amazing people, from my first session with M-People, through to the Spice Girls first album, and Prodigy's Fat of The Land, mixing Superstylin and many other Groove Armada hits. I also mixed the first ever 5.1 music album with Orbital and made a live Album/DVD with Motorhead.

I then worked at Sarm Studios, with Liam Howlett of The Prodigy. I was the engineer on the Invaders Must Die album and co-produced a couple of tracks on Always Outnumbered. I had my own studio in West London and was part of the chill-out band Kinobe, working on adverts and syncs while also recording and mixing with bands such as The Fedz, Trampoline, The King Blues, Fecky and the Section Boys, Zdot to name a few.

I'm based in Manchester, UK, but available to travel to wherever your project is based. I have my own studio space in Media City Manchester, and can get preferential rates at most of the studios in the area. I mix both in protools, or fully analogue should you prefer. Just get in touch to discuss your project, and we will come up with a solution that suits everyone.

My preferred studios are in the North West are. Unit 26, where I am based in media city. We have an SSL AWS 24, a nice selection of mics and analogue outboard gear. The advantage here is its the room next door to my mix room, there is a great sounding live room.. perfect for Manchester based bands and for the more budget projects.

If you have a little extra, then I am getting great results recording at Soundhouse Studios in Liverpool. The analogue equipment there is 2nd to none. classic SSL 6k series, installed from new at the studios in 1988, and in great condition. It's a great place for bands to record, as there are several recording areas, a huge selection of guitar heads, and cabs. Check out their site and contact me for bookings at soundhousestudio.co.uk. This place is rapidly become my home from home and first choice studio in the country!

I also have good contacts at Manchester Recording Studios, a high-end facility in central Manchester. Motor Museum in Liverpool, a great space to record, and home to renowned producer Al Grooves. I’ve recorded in most studios in the North West, an indeed the UK and beyond, so please get in touch if you would like to work with me in any other studio around the world.

As well as producing and mixing bands and artists, I also compose music and sound design for a variety of a/v uses. With the band Kinobe, we had music on ads from Kronenburg, Nokia, Guinness. I have also had my music used for adverts and corporate jobs from BBC, Speedo, Agfa, Shell, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and many others. Below is a selection of my work.
